Roger Young is a classical/jazz violinist, arranger, educator and member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

His classical studies have taken him to London and Vienna and in 2009 he was the recipient of an MSO scholarship in which he attended the summer schools of Christian Howes - Creative String Workshop, The Mark Oโ€™Connor Berklee Summer String Program and Jamie Aebersoldโ€™s Summer Jazz Workshop.

He has since been involved as Musical Director in several very successful shows as part of the MSOโ€™s Secret Symphony Series. These include the opening show of the series at The Paris Cat Jazz Club with Grammy Award-winning conductor Bramwell Tovey, Songs Of Radiohead at the Spiegeltent, Designing 007 Exhibition Concert and recently a performance celebrating the music of David Bowie at ACMI in Melbourne.
